This research is part of higher diploma degree at Lao-Top College with the
“Study on difficulties in learn English as second languages. A case study of medical
doctor student at university of health science’’. It has been generally well-known that
most students faced some problems and difficulties in learning English as a second
language. This thesis writing has main purpose to explore medical doctor student’s
weakness on difficulties in learning English as a second language. The objectives of this
- To find out why medical students learn English as a second language.
- To find out the causes of difficulties in learning English as a second language.
- To find out the possible ways to resolve the problems by themselves.
The questionnaire was main tool to collect information and data. The
questionnaires have 5 parts. The first was personal information that consists of three
questions such genders and age. Second were the reasons why medical doctor students
learn English as a second language. Third what are difficulties in learning English.
fourth were the causes of difficulties in learning English as a second language and the
last were the possible ways to resolve problems by themselves.
The research including five chapters such as chapter was introduction, chapter 2
was literature review, chapter 3 was methodology, chapter 4 was result and chapter 5
was conclusion. The questionnaires were distributed on July, 2020 to students who were
studying medical doctor student year 3.
The finding of this research, as the collect data was analyzed, to find out why
medical students learn English as a second language, to find out causes of difficulties in
learning English and to find out the possible way to resolve problems by themselves.
However, there might have some mistakes in vocabularies, spelling and grammar. Here,
I apologize for those mistakes and also hope that this research would be useful
information to the next generation or for who are interested in my topic.
