ABSTRACT
This thesis part of higher diploma degree at Lao-Top College with the topic:
“The Difficulties in Learning English as a Second language Case Study at Maha
Buddhavongsa Palouang Sangha Upper Secondary School”. As we know well there are
many countries in around the world use English as international language and speaking
is very important part of English
The objectives of this research are:
1 To find out Maha Buddhavongsa Palouang Sangha Upper Secondary
School students’ understanding of pronouns
2 To find out which students want to use pronouns
3 To study the reason that attracts the students to learn pronouns
Questionnaire was the main tool to collect the information and data. The
questionnaires have 4 parts. The first part was personal information that consists of five
question such as: gender, age, status, respondent’s Education and how long you have
been learning English. Second part was what difficulties in learning English are and
consists of 21 questions. Third part, it was the ways how to improve English skill, it
consists of 11 questions and finally part was the reason that why do students decide to
study English.
The research including five chapters such as chapter 1 was introduction, chapter
2 was literature review, chapter 3 was methodology, chapter 4 was result and chapter 5
was conclusion. The questionnaire were distributed on June, 2020 to the students who
were studying at Maha Buddhavongsa Palouang Sangha Sangha Upper Secondary
School.
The finding of this research, as the collect data was analyzed, we known the
factors and reasons that make the students decide to study English, know the difficulties
in learning English of them and know how to improve their English skill.
As I research has been working on this research for three month. However, there
might have some mistakes in grammatically. Here, I apologize for that fault and also I
hope that this research would be very useful information to students who are interested
in similar topic.
